We are delighted to share that Team Unnati, Department of ECE, successfully conducted a PCB Design Workshop on 02 and 03/05/2026 for students from various engineering colleges in association with IEI DLC.

This workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practical implementation by providing participants with hands-on experience in Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design and fabrication—a critical skill in modern electronics and innovation. (Skubotics)

• Interactive sessions on PCB design fundamentals
• Hands-on exposure to circuit building and layout design
• Guidance from experienced mentors and faculty
• Collaborative learning with enthusiastic participants

The event witnessed active participation, curiosity, and a strong learning spirit from students across institutions. It was inspiring to see young minds explore real-world engineering applications and successfully implement their designs.

The PCB Design workshop is inaugurated by Dr. K. N. Patil, Honorary Secretary IEI DLC Dharwad & Dean R&D, SDMCET, Mr. Pramod Vaidya Office manager IEI DLC, Dr. Satish S. Bhairannawar, Dean CIII, SDMCET, Dr. S. A. Joshi HOD E&CE, SDMCET and Staff coordinator Dr. S. V. Viraktamath. 

Students from following Engineering College have participated in the PCB Design workshop.

1) KLS GIT Belagavi. 2) KLEIT, Hubballi, 3) AMBIT, Belagavi, 4) JGI JCET Hubballi,     5) JGI JCET Belagavi and 6) JGI JCER Belagavi and 7) SDMCET EE Dept. students 

Valedictory:

Alumni Mr. Vaibhav Naidu visited the workshop and interacted with the students. 

 Mrs. Charitha Kallihal and Mrs Madhuri Huyilagil were guests and both addressed the students in room no 25. 

Participants learnt all the steps of PCB preparation including scrubbing, ironing, etching, drilling, soldering and testing.

Congratulations to student coordinators and team Unnati members as you all successfully organized the PCB Design workshop for other engineering college students. All the batches got output.

PCB Design workshop 2023

Institute of Engineers IE(I), Dharwad Local Centre is planning to organize the  "One Day PCB Design Workshop"  on 29th OCT 2023

Date :- 

 28-OCT-2023 (online classes)

 29-OCT-2023 (offline workshop) 

Location :- Institution of Engineers (India), Dharwad Local Centre, Balekundry Bhavan, Dharwad.

Rules:-

• Each team should consist maximum of two members. If only one student is in the batch they can repeat the same name during registration.
• Limited teams will be selected (selection will be first come first serve basis)
• Selected teams (will be informed) have to register for the workshop .
• Those who are interested to learn and teach to their juniors or the students of other college can register
  

Now VTU has introduced the PCB Design in 4th semester scheme https://vtu.ac.in/pdf/2022_3to8/ecesch.pdf 

This is the opportunity for you to learn PCB Design. The registration includes the components required for the 555 Timer circuit including Clad board and training. The working circuit you (batch) can take home. Working lunch will be provided in the afternoon and Tea in the evening. Certificates will be issued by the IE(I) Dharwad on the same day.

Team Unnati is planning to organize One-day PCB Workshop in IE(I) (Near KCD, DC compound, Dakshina bhaarata Hindi prachara sabha) tentative date 04/12/2022 (Sunday). If you are interested to attend the workshop, you can fill the details of your batch. Each batch can have maximum two students. If only one student is in the batch they can repeat the same name. Registration Fee (600Rs per batch) will be collected few days earlier to the workshop if you got selected, certificate may be given by IE(E) Local Centre Dharwad.
